Outdoor Events

The Student Union is responsible for facilitating the reservations on Memory Mall and the Reflecting Pond. While your reservation is processed by the Student Union, we cannot provide any furniture, fixtures, or equipment for your event at these locations.

 

Memory Mall is the large grass area between the Student Union and the Addition Arena. All events scheduled at Memory Mall require the completion of a SAFE Form. The SAFE Form must be reviewed by our office 20 days prior to your event. If the SAFE Form is not received within that deadline, the hold on the space for your event will be released. SAFE Forms should not be submitted until a reservation request has been approved by your SU Event Coordinator.

 

For power, water, sprinkler, and trash removal, you will need to submit a work order to UCF Facilities Operations via their online Event Services Request System. These services are separate from your reservation and may incur charges to your department or organization. This form should not be submitted until a reservation request has been approved and a SAFE Form is submitted.

The Reflecting Pond is a marquee facility on UCF’s campus with the primary purpose of acting as an informal gathering location for the campus community.

  • Reservations of the Pond are limited to UCF Departments and Student Government Agencies and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
  • All Reflecting Pond reservations must include an activity or speaking engagement that is intended to match the scale of the Pond and is meant to engage the entire campus community.
  • Public or affiliate client reservations may be approved on occasion for significant private events such as a wedding for UCF alumni.
  • Sound amplification of any kind in the area surrounding the Reflecting Pond requires a reservation and approval in advance.
